At
Double Cottage Breeding & Racing lofts we try to keep things as
simple as possible using products only when absolutely necessary below
are shown the products that we use to keep our birds in top quality
condition throughout the year.
Drinking
Water Supplements
 Several
fanciers lost a lot of good pigeons due to lack of condition.
One of the reasons may be attach (too high concentration)
of the fungal Candida Albican.
Anti Fungal has been developed to solve the problem of Fungal's. In
combination with Improver it will kill bad
bacteria as salmonella, e.coli and in addition fungal's.
Also inhibit the spreading of canker and other diseases through drinking
water.
After
antibiotics cure the natural micro flora in the birds is destroyed.
Bring it fast back to the natural balance with administering Anti
Fungal (treatment dosage in three - five days).
Instruction leaflet Anti fungal contains the active ingredient 2,4-heksadienoicacid.
This is only active at low acidity in the drinking water (pH<5).
Such low acidity will be achieved by giving Anti Fungal in combination
with Improver.
Combined these products will kill the fungal's at concentrations corresponding
to 100 mg Anti Fungal /liter drinking
water Preventive: One tea spoon (2.5gram) Anti Fungal to 4 liters
water together with one tea spoon Improver i two-three days a week,
preferably after the stress period/races. Can be mixed with vitamins,
probiotics, electrolytes. Gives rapid recuperation and strong birds,
weekend after weekend! Treatment against Fungal: Add one teaspoon
of Anti Fungal and one teaspoon Improver (always in combination) to
2 liters of water in 2 weeks.
 A
unique patent protected product (natural organic acids) designed to
protect against bacterial diseases such as:
Paratyphoid,
Salmonella and E.coli and at the same time bringing the pigeon in
top condition week after week!
Many fanciers (Scandinavian, UK, Belgium, Australia, US) have already
experienced extraordinary results from using Improver, including national
championship winners and national ace pigeons.
Simply
administer to the drinking water the day of return and the two following
days.
Super
concentrate: One tub treats 450 liters - enough for six months for
an average loft.
Does Improver aid in Adenovirus resistance? - Young Bird Diseases.
Reports
from customers indicate that Adenovirus I (young bird disease) infected
young birds rapidly improve their condition after being given Improver
to their drinking water. Some fanciers don't see the Adenovirus symptoms
in their young birds after starting with daily administration of Improver
in their drinking water.
Possible explanation:
From scientifically designed in-vitro test it has been shown that
E.coli bacteria's are killed by Improver at very low concentration
levels (0.03 w%). By normal use of Improver (i.e. 0.05 w%) the E.coli
bacteria's are thus killed in the pigeons intestines. As Adenovirus
(young bird sickness) is a complex sickness interacting with E.coli
bacteria's in it's second phase, this may explain the rapid recovery
of infected birds. Of course, Improver does not cure the sickness
as Adenovirus is a virus disease and not a bacterial one. However,
it seems to take much of the burden from the disease and helps the
youngsters to develop immunity without losing too much energy.

 Spartrix
Spartrix
is a single dose treatment for canker in racing pigeons. Spartrix
is presented in a handy tablet form allowing birds to be treated individually
and thus ensuring all birds receive the required dose. To ensure the
full benefit of Spartrix, all pigeons should be treated at the same
time, whenever canker is seen. Young birds should be treated at weaning
or before flying out. Pigeons should be treated before pairing or
during the first half of each brood period to prevent canker being
passed to the newly hatched young. Spartrix contains 10mg Carnidazole.
 Harka-Mectin
